The leader of the Armenian government, Nikol Pashinyan, stated on Friday that the main part of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh had been agreed upon. He communicated this to journalists during a visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh region. 'We are quite close to formalizing the agreement. At the moment, the Azerbaijani side has definitively marked that a significant part of the text of the agreement is understood to be agreed upon by them, this applies to the main part of the agreement,' Pashinyan noted. The Prime Minister expressed hope for a successful completion of the negotiations on outstanding issues and emphasized that there would be no changes in the status of Nagorno-Karabakh without the consent of the region's residents. Notably, large-scale combat actions between Armenia and Azerbaijan began in mid-September in Nagorno-Karabakh, leading to the deaths of hundreds of people. The conflict was halted after at least three agreements on the cessation of hostilities, signed by Yerevan and Baku with the mediation of Russia.
