Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the new ambassador on assuming his duties, wishing him success in his diplomatic work. The President said: "You are our first ambassador, and this is another historical fact." The first Palestinian Ambassador to Armenia, Issa Qassisieh, presented his credentials to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, which the latter described as "another historical fact" in the course of bilateral relations. A statement from the Armenian Presidential Press Service reads: "President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the credentials of the first Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Armenia, Issa Qassisieh." The President expressed confidence that under these circumstances, our relations will reach a new level of development, and we will together look for ways and possibilities for this.
